President Bush Delivers Major Address on Energy Efficiency at Event Sponsored by Dutko Client Johnson Controls : 06-30-2005
At a time when the federal energy bill is being debated, oil prices are near record highs and concerns are being raised about electricity reliability and greenhouse gas emissions, President George W. Bush addressed the importance of energy issues at the 16th annual Energy Efficiency Forum, June 15 in Washington, D.C.
The Forum, titled, “Energy Efficiency: Understanding the Urgency” was co-sponsored by the United States Energy Association (USEA) and Johnson Controls, Inc, a client of Dutko Worldwide.
The bipartisan event was attended by hundreds of executives and government officials. In addition to President Bush, speakers include U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta; Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo.; and John Engler, former governor of Michigan. As part of the event, the governor of Michigan, Jennifer Granholm; Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla.; and the under secretary of energy designee, David Garman received Energy Leadership Awards, recognizing their efforts to promote energy efficiency.
