-- Miller Will Play Important Role in Dutko’s Continued Efforts to Expand its Services and Presence Throughout the Country and World --

Washington, DC – June 15, 2005 – Former Nevada Gov. Bob Miller has announced that he will open the Las Vegas office of Dutko Worldwide, a leading international public affairs firm. Governor Miller, who has been affiliated with Dutko for the last several years, will open the Dutko office on July 1.

Dutko Worldwide is one of the fastest growing public affairs firms in the nation and the first independent firm with a global multi-disciplinary public policy management capability. The firm provides comprehensive government affairs management and strategic counsel, and helps build public-private partnerships at the federal, state and international levels of government in areas including health care, transportation, technology, homeland security, energy, telecommunications, education, finance, and housing.

Dutko Worldwide is consistently ranked as one of the “top 10 most powerful lobbying firms” in the country by FORTUNE magazine. The company is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and has a presence throughout the country, including offices in Boston, Denver, Las Vegas, Miami, and Tallahassee, and throughout the world with offices in Brussels, Prague, Vienna and Manila.

Ron Kaufman, former White House Staff Adviser under George H.W. Bush, and Chairman, Executive Committee of Dutko Worldwide said, “Gov. Miller’s local, national and international experience in addition to his extensive background in public service will provide valuable expertise for Dutko Worldwide. His tremendous reputation, his contacts within government and his public policy skills will be a great asset to Dutko clients in the U.S. and around the world.”

Miller said that Dutko is unique among public policy firms because of its 50–state U.S. reach and growing global presence, along with its multi-disciplinary client service. Miller commented, “I have enjoyed being a part of Dutko’s expansion over the past several years, and I look forward to growing our local, state, federal, and international reach. There are simply no other public policy firms that offer clients a complete range of services no matter where they are in the country or the world.”

Miller is an honorary co-chair of the Russian Heritage Highway Project with former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev, and serves as the Honorary Counsel General of Bulgaria. He is also involved in business development in countries including Bulgaria, China, Latvia, Romania, and Mexico.

Gov. Miller plans to vacate his current position as a stockholder in the Nevada law firm of Jones Vargas by the first of July. Gary Goodheart, managing partner at Jones Vargas, said the firm is supportive of Gov. Miller’s decision. “Gov. Miller has made great contributions to our firm, but his national and international skills and relationships will have even greater reach in his new position with Dutko. We will miss him and congratulate him on this tremendous opportunity.”

Dutko Worldwide’s principle operating units are Dutko Global Advisors, Dutko Washington, Dutko State & Local, Dutko Research & Polling, and Dutko Government Markets. Additional information on Dutko Worldwide is available at www.dutkoworldwide.com
