Greg Crist joined Dutko as a Vice President in 2005 with a wide-ranging expertise in media relations and public affairs. His experiences working with the White House and Congress, as well as an extensive working relationship with the Capitol Hill press corps have provided him with an in-depth understanding of the political and policy making process.

Prior to joining Dutko, Crist served as Communications Director for the House Republican Conference, chaired by Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-OH). In this position, Greg worked closely with member offices and House Leadership to develop and implement message and media strategies for House Republicans. During his tenure with the Conference, Crist handled the successful launches of public affairs campaigns for Medicare Modernization, the war in Iraq and comprehensive tax relief.

Greg’s past work experience also includes serving as Press Secretary to former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX), where he was the Majority Leader’s primary spokesman. In addition, he was instrumental in handling press coverage during the passage of the Patriot Act and creation of the House Select Committee on Homeland Security. Crist’s Hill experience also includes serving as Deputy Communications Director for the House Ways and Means Committee, focusing primarily on health care, international trade and tax policy.

Before coming to Capitol Hill, Greg was Assistant Press Secretary to Virginia Governor George Allen (R). In this role he served as the spokesman for the Commonwealth’s economic development, criminal justice and welfare programs. Greg was also a Senior Account Executive with Ketchum Public Relations, where he earned several awards, including the Creativity in Public Relations Award (CIPRA) and the Silver Anvil-both recognitions for his achievements in public affairs.

A native of Forest, Virginia, Greg is a graduate of William and Mary and a Sorenson Fellow at the University of Virginia.
