Andy Wright brings a unique mix of political, legal and public policy backgrounds to Dutko Worldwide where he is a Senior Vice President in our Washington office. Andy is an attorney with over twenty-five years experience in public service, lobbying, association management, policy development and strategic planning. Andy, a former long-time Chief of Staff for Rick Boucher (D-VA), and Brad Sherman (D-CA), joined Dutko Worldwide in February 2007.
Andy twice served as Congressman Boucher’s top-aide, beginning in 1982 after managing Boucher’s first Congressional campaign. For more than a decade, Andy advised Boucher on issues including energy, telecommunications, intellectual property and insurance. He came to Dutko directly from the office of Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) where he served as Chief of Staff. Sherman is a senior member of the House Financial Services, Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees.
Prior to joining Sherman’s staff, Andy was president of the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA), where he led the national trade association that represented the consumer services satellite industry. Andy also served as Vice President of Government Affairs for the American Insurance Association, a national trade association representing large property and casualty insurance companies.
