Chanta serves as Vice President and Senior Counsel in the Tallahassee office. With experience in both the public and private sectors, Combs brings broad policy expertise to Dutko Worldwide and its clients. As a senior member in two gubernatorial administrations, Combs is a passionate advocate for entrepreneurial, market-based policy ideas, fiscal responsibility, and budgetary transparency.
Prior to joining Dutko, Chanta served as the Policy Director for Governor Charlie Crist where her responsibilities included developing and managing the implementation of multiple policy initiatives for the Governor and his executive agencies, monitoring and advising the Governor on legislation and budget issues, and supervising eight substantive policy units within the Governor’s Office of Policy and Budget. Prior to her service with Governor Crist, Combs served Governor Jeb Bush as his Deputy Policy Director and Assistant General Counsel, where she oversaw both legal and policy strategy for Governor Bush. Before working for Governor Bush, Combs spent almost six years practicing law in the private sector, focusing on commercial litigation, appellate advocacy, and regulatory law.
A magna cum laude graduate of the Florida State University and Florida State College of Law, Combs is an avid football fan . She and her husband Bert reside in Tallahassee.
