Alfredo joined Dutko Worldwide as Vice President and helps lead the firm’s Miami office. Prior to joining Dutko, Alfredo served as Executive Director of the Cuban American National Foundation (CANF). He continues to serve on the Board of Directors of CANF. He remains a close advisor to local, state and federal officials in the foreseeable change of Cuba’s political structure. While at CANF, he also maintained strong bonds with community, civic, business, and religious leaders.

Alfredo previously served as Director of Public Affairs for former Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas. During his twelve years of County service, Alfredo was an advisor to the Mayor on administrative matters, policy development, constituent services, media strategy and community relations. While in this role, he also assisted in the drafting of an emergency response plan for a change in Cuban government and as a key advisor to the Office of Emergency Management during multiple hurricane activations. Working alongside the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, he led community efforts to bring major events to South Florida such as the Latin GRAMMYS and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Alfredo earned a bachelor of public administration degree from Florida International University and is committed to assisting in the reconstruction of Cuba.
