Specializing in brand development, positioning and media tactics, Greg Crist joined Dutko Worldwide as Vice President of Strategic Communications in 2005. With a cornerstone constructed of a deep understanding of the policy-making process, Greg provides creative counsel to a myriad of clients who span the globe from Belize to Italy, Argentina, and beyond. In August 2008, Crist was tapped by the Republican National Convention to serve a brief tenure as Deputy Director for Regional Media/Broadcast/Radio for the campaign’s Battleground States.
Greg’s knowledge of what drives news stories and political vignettes is constantly evolving through his more than 15 years of communications experience. Prior to joining Dutko, he served as Communications Director for the House Republican Conference. Working closely with member offices and House Leadership, Greg developed dynamic narratives and storylines that launched numerous successful public affairs campaigns.
As press secretary and primary spokesman to the former House Majority Leader, Greg was instrumental in directing the press coverage that followed in the wake of the September 11th attacks, including the Patriot Act passage, the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, and other national security initiatives.
Additionally, Greg has served as Deputy Communications Director for the Ways and Means Committee, specializing in health care, international trade, and tax policy, as well as Assistant Press Secretary to Virginia Governor George Allen (R), acting as the Commonwealth’s lead spokesman for economic development, criminal justice, and social insurance programs.
Beyond the realm of politics, Greg was a Senior Account Executive at Ketchum Public Relations, earning several awards, including the Creativity in Public Relations Award (CIPRA) and the Silver Anvil – both recognitions for his achievements in public affairs.
Crist frequently appears on FOX News and CSPAN as a national political contributor, joining Washington insiders in provocative discussion and debate.
