Dutko Worldwide : Building Public-Private Partnerships
home  :  what we do  :  u.s. state & local affairs  :   :  northwest region

The Northwest economy is being driven by service industries, including medical providers and other business and professional services. In the past decade, Denver’s population has grown by more than 600,000, becoming the major economic heart of the northwest. Defense and intelligence companies contribute in excess of $3 billion to the Colorado economy alone, making it a major center for this type of business, as well as an epicenter for the telecom industry in the United States. The region has also grown as a center for biomedical and biotech. Over 350 biotech companies now call Colorado home, employing more than 18,000 people, and adding $3 billion to the economy of the state.

As a gateway to the Rocky Mountain west, Denver allows Dutko Worldwide to comprehensively serve the entire region. This regional office is served by Bill Simmons, a Utah native with close ties to Utah and the Salt Lake City area, who has also served in Washington as Director of the United States House Resources Subcommittee and is an eight-year Capitol Hill veteran.

Heading up the Denver office is Steven Palmer, who came to Dutko after serving as a senior staff member for retired US Senator Wayne Allard (CO) as well as a Budget Associate on the Congressional House Budget Committee under the leadership of Congressman John Kasich (OH).
