One final type of bathroom vanity is a contemporary vanity. These types of vanities are very popular because they are a great way to add some of the old world charm that can only come from antique style vanities. The main difference between an antique and a contemporary style of vanity is the finish. These types of vanity will have more elaborate designs with elaborate designs on the vanity and also will be made out of a more durable material such as porcelain or acrylic.

If you are thinking about purchasing a bathroom vanity, one of the main things that you will need to look at is the finish on the vanity. You want to find a finish that you like so you do not have to worry about it rusting. The most common finish used in antique style vanity is nickel and the most common finish used in modern vanity is brass.

Once you have the finish that you want for your bathroom vanity, you need to think about the size of your budget for your bathroom vanity. If you want something very large, but it is going to be in the bathroom for a long period of time, it may not be the best idea to purchase a large vanity. A smaller vanity can be just as nice, if not better, it can be easily added on to your current bathroom or can be used as an addition to an existing bathroom.
