Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350: The ultimate thumper for cruising

For those looking for the ultimate cruiser without having to spend too much, the Thunderbird 350 makes perfect sense, for it retains its typical cruiser lines and comes with a comfortable saddle. It gets kicked-out forks and an extended single-downtube frame. It has been renowned for being a perfect highway motorcycle, thanks to its 19-inch rims.

Engine

Packed neatly within the frame is a 346cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 19.80bhp and 28Nm of torque. The motor is air-cooled and comes paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 is BSIV-compliant.

Specifications

The Thunderbird 350 retains its classic design cues, but also gets a few fresh details. It gets a circular headlamp at the front, a huge rounded tank, a shapely seat, a high-set handle bar, circular turn indicators and a tubular tail light cluster. Ride quality is on the soft side, with bumps and other road imperfections being soaked in effortlessly. The grip from the tyres is decent, while the brakes offer good bite. At the front, the bike rides on telescopic fork suspension, while the rear gets twin gas-charged suspension. As far as the chassis is concerned, it is built around a single down tube-type frame. The Thunderbird 350 runs on 90/90-19 tyres at the front and 120/80-18 tyres at the rear. Retardation duties are taken care of by disc brakes at the front and at the rear.
